Theatre Royal, Brighton's Stage as it appeared back in the 1950s

Make It So in association with Brighton Museum & Art Gallery are organizing and running several events to celebrate 200 years of Brighton’s Theatre Royal.

Have you ever wanted to have a go at performing, but suffer from nerves?

Always wanted to stand on a stage and perform, but never had the opportunity?

Curious to find out what it would be like to be an actor, but afraid to ask?

Do you enjoy performing but lack confidence sometimes?

Or do you just want something challenging and fun?

Whether seeking a professional career in the arts or simply just for fun. Here is a special opportunity to learn technique, improve your communication skills, calm your nerves and unlock that creativity with Adult Drama Classes run by professional actor and director Trevor Nicholls in association with Brighton Museum.

For Ages 18+
First Master Class will take place on Tuesday 17th July from 7.30-9.30PM at;

Pantomime Workshop and Performance for Children

Aladdin's Lamp

A two week project to workshop, rehearse and perform the story of ‘Aladdin and his Magic Lamp’ for children is taking place from Tuesday 31st July- Friday 10th August, 2007 at the Old Courtroom, Brighton from 10am- 4pm daily (except weekends).

There will be a performance of the project on Friday 10th August, 2007 with times to be confirmed.

Curtain Up! Make It So have organized with Brighton Museum a special entertaining evening of untold stories, historical details and anecdotes from the number one touring house that has seen plays and musical productions premiere and transfer to London’s West End Theatres. The evening consists of guest technicians, stage managers and touring management from the Theatre Royal Brighton’s past decades, discussing their experiences on shows with fun and informative insight to the backstage workings of the historic venue. The audiences are invited to interact with the evening’s proceedings and also get to meet the ‘Royal team’ afterwards.
